How Rednet works

One register of Australian government tendering. This page says exactly what that means, where the data comes from, and how to get value out of your plan in the first week.

Where our data comes from

We aggregate the market. You deal with the buyer directly.

Rednet is a market intelligence engine for Australian government contracting. We continuously collate public procurement data, including live tenders, awarded contracts and expiring panels, from official federal, state, territory and local government sources into one workspace.

No middleman friction.

You never lodge bids through Rednet. When you find the right opportunity, we link you directly to the official issuing portal so you can pull the latest specification packs, receive official addenda, and submit straight to the buyer.

What we cover, honestly.

We aggregate what government portals publish publicly. We do not have access to every tender. Some panels run on closed or invitation-only systems, and some agencies buy through paywalled platforms such as ARCUS, SAP Ariba or BCI Central. Opportunities that exist only on those services never appear on a public portal, so they never appear on Rednet either. Our coverage is the public record across Federal, state, territory and local portals.

Direct links with zero surprises.

Every listing is sourced from public government and municipal registries. Most portals allow immediate public viewing; a handful require a free supplier login on their own site before releasing tender documents. We flag login-gated portals upfront so your team always knows what to expect before clicking through.

Verified official figures. Never guesswork.

Rednet reflects the exact data published by government agencies. We clean, categorise and cross-reference records for fast searching, but we never fabricate or estimate missing figures. When a field is blank, the issuing agency chose not to publish it:

  • Value not disclosed. The agency recorded the award without releasing the dollar figure.
  • Undisclosed supplier. The buyer withheld the winning contractor's name under statutory privacy or security provisions.
  • Panel / Schedule of Rates. The award establishes a standing supplier panel rather than a single lump-sum contract; actual spend occurs later through work orders.
  • Closing date not published. Typically a standing multi-use register or an advance notice awaiting final release dates.

The Rednet advantage

Reclaim your week.

Replace hours of manual portal hopping with a single search that surfaces relevant jobs the moment they are indexed.

Move first on subcontracts.

Spot newly awarded head contracts while projects are still in pre-mobilisation, giving your estimating team first-mover advantage.

Forecast your pipeline.

See incumbent contracts nearing the end of their term so you can prepare your bid strategy months ahead of the market.

What you can do on a free account

See what is live.

Every open tender on our register with its title, state and closing countdown. No account needed to browse.

Search everything.

Keyword search and the quick-search palette work across the register. Filters are shareable URLs.

Preview every surface.

Awarded contracts, subbie leads, the re-tender radar and dossiers all render in teaser form: the structure is visible, buyer and winner names wait for a plan.

Save dates to your calendar.

Every tender closing date saves straight to Google, Outlook or Apple calendar from the row menu, free.

A free account also unlocks nothing extra today except keeping your place: bookmarking, saved searches and alerts start with Rednet Starter.

Getting started: Rednet Starter

For regional contractors and trade businesses working one home state plus Federal.

  1. 1.Lock in your core filters. Select your home state, trade categories and closing windows. Bookmark your view for instant daily access.
  2. 2.Set up watchlists. Save each search to your workspace and get alerted whenever new matches land.
  3. 3.Work the Subbie Pitch board. Review new contract awards in your state, verify the winning builder with the built-in business lookups, and pitch your trade services while packages are still being let.
  4. 4.Check the re-tender radar. Identify upcoming contract expiries in your sector and save key dates straight to your calendar.
  5. 5.Switch states as your projects move. Expanding into a new region? Update your home state any time in account settings. Billing is unaffected.

Compare plans

Getting started: Rednet Pro

For national bid teams, commercial contractors and multi-state suppliers.

  1. 1.Search across state lines. Track projects and competitors across every Australian state, territory and federal agency at once.
  2. 2.Export custom bid lists. Download your filtered results to CSV for offline estimating, board reporting or bid-no-bid reviews.
  3. 3.Pipe matches into your CRM. New matches, closing reminders and re-tender alerts flow straight into HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce, so your sales team sees them without opening Rednet.
  4. 4.Scale your saved alerts. Unlimited saved searches across divisions, trade categories and key government buyers.
  5. 5.Audit buyers and competitors. Agency and supplier dossiers show historical spend, category mix and preferred incumbents before you commit resources to a bid.

Connecting your CRM (Rednet Pro)

Pro accounts can push new matches, closing reminders and re-tender alerts straight into the tools your team already lives in, using outbound webhooks from your workspace. Every delivery is a small JSON payload (type, timestamp and the matching records) signed with an X-RedNet-Signature header so your side can verify it came from us. Example payload:

{
  "type": "new_matches",
  "endpoint_id": "…",
  "created_at": "2026-11-02T01:23:45Z",
  "data": { "search": "NSW civil works", "new_matches": 4, "records": [ … ] }
}

Zapier

In Zapier, create a Zap with the Webhooks by Zapier: Catch Hook trigger and copy the catch URL. Paste it into workspace outbound webhooks, press Test, and Zapier picks the payload up. Add any action you like after it: create a HubSpot deal, post to Slack, append a Google Sheet row.

Make

In Make, start a scenario with the Custom webhook module and copy its URL into workspace outbound webhooks. Test from the page, then route the bundle into your CRM, database or messenger modules. Scheduling stays on Make's side; Rednet pushes the moment matches land.

HubSpot

HubSpot has no inbound webhook trigger on every plan, so connect it through Zapier or Make: new matches create or update deals (for example, deal name “Re-tender: [title]”), and closing-soon alerts become tasks on the owner's pipeline. One Zap covers all three event types with a filter step.

Prefer another stack? Anything that can receive a signed HTTPS POST works: Pipedrive, Salesforce via Flow, n8n, or your own endpoint. The Test button in the workspace sends a sample event so you can verify before going live.
